Comments on: Taking a break from mainline trains, two friends and I ventured down into Hamilton’s Ontario industrial core for the first time during a spring morning in 1995. I remember at the time we were overwhelmed with the maze of tracks and all the industries that were still served by rail as well as all the industrial units that were working behind the seemingly endless rows of fences. However, not long into our tour, we came across CN GP9RM 7031 and SW1200RSM 7305 switching the Stelco Steel Rod Mill facility. We took a few photos and also shot the pair working the nearby Stelwire Parkdale plant. I believe that at least one of these industries still receives rail service today; however corrections and additional information are both welcome and would be appreciated.

This just reappeared for me in the top banner. What a great shot. A very well-deserved number of views too.
