<title>Comments on: The 1988 London-built SD40-2F is an engine I can say with confidence I never expected to see on CP rails again, let alone leading a train, as they were sold away to the Central Maine &amp; Quebec who were taking over operations of the now-bankrupt Montreal Maine &amp; Atlantic. Fast forward to June 12, 2020, a week after CP has assumed full control of the CMQ, and a pair of &#8220;Red Barns&#8221; (although no longer red) are thundering west on the Belleville Sub at around milepost 190 with extra train #9-143. What a time to be alive! I won&#8217;t jinx it but what I will say is that I&#8217;m much more hopeful for the survival of the remaining 40-2Fs as CP is under quite a different management than when they sold them off.</title>
