Comments on: The Agawa Canyon Tour Train logo on the nose notwithstanding, CN F40PH 106 leads train 632, the regular thrice-weekly Hearst-Sault Ste. Marie passenger train at Hawk Junction. This train and the aforementioned tour train are the last vestiges of the Algoma Central name, and is one of the last local passenger trains in the country not operated by VIA Rail.

F40s have always had HEP; they were built that way. The two power cars are still on the property and would still be required if the F40 was unavailable for some reason and replaced by a different unit.

There are three of these units and two are used every day on the Canyon Tour Train. If for some reason the third unit was in the shop for repair, or needed on an extra long tour train in peak season, the standalone power cars would definitely still be needed.
