When I started on CP in 1973, passenger service had just ended a few years before. Sometimes we had reason to go in the station for orders or to use the washroom etc. while our train was stopped there. There was an elderly gentleman that used to walk to the station & sit in the waiting room every day & then go home. I saw him a number of times & eventually he stopped coming for reasons we can guess. I thought that was interesting, the station back then was a community hub, and he just kept doing what he had likely done for years. This shot reminded me of that.

Oh, for the days when a steam powered train was just another train. My gosh, what we've lost.
