Comments on: The Canadian American Railroad (CDAC) 450 leads this train slowing at the Sherbrooke station. This F40PHM-2 is the former Amtrak 380. Location is on Quebec Southern line, which extended from Ste. Jean to Lennoxville, just a throw down the road east of this image. This conglomeration of roads, former CP lines, commenced operations under the “Iron Road” blanket (which included Quebec Southern, CDAC, and Northern Vermont) in 1994 and became the Montreal, Maine & Atlantic in early 2003. Behind the 450 are leased HATX 419 and 420.

Great shot, I always liked the CDAC, too bad it was so badly managed. I made a few trips down there and usually had some luck catching them. Power was always clean.
