I’m not sure if Earl ever worked at Woodstock, but I wonder if the operator isn’t Ray Riordan later to become a dispatcher (RSR). The “fireman” might in fact be Engineer Herb Pilon who’s on the left side of the cab because the fireman is taking a turn running the engine.

That’s a perfectly timed shot of hooping up the orders. Did that a few times myself and missed once when an 8900 Train Master was leading.
