Comments on: The Circus Train comes to town!! This is the only time I chanced getting up to track level to catch a train coming over to Canada on the (now closed) Suspension Bridge. I’m at the end just over the River Rd/Niagara Parkway portion in order to catch the long Barnum & Bailey Circus Train as it arrives. It was getting late and it was starting to rain; a dull crappy fall day………which probably explained why only myself and friend (late) Reg Button were on hand to photograph the train as it passed us down by Chippawa a short time later. The last show will be in Nassau Cty, NY on May 21st, 2017. Operators cite changing public tastes, declining attendance, higher operating costs and the animal rights activists all figuring in the decision.
