Comments on: The CN 15:30 Kitchener Job is pictured approaching John Street in Waterloo, Ontario as they return from Elmira with seven cars on the Waterloo Spur with 7030 and 4141. At the time, the job only operated with two units when it was necessary and on this day, both Nutrite and Sulco Chemicals in Elmira had received several cars. The springtime was always a busy period for Nutrite receiving hoppers.

Yes, the CN Kitchener crews at the time often had them on when they were on the local spurs or doing switching. A neat feature for sure.
