Comments on: The days of search light signals protecting CP’s Galt subdivision may be numbered, but for now the set at mile 24.8 still shine on unaltered. Recently the signals at Streetsville Junction had new LED heads installed, (but not yet activated), so it appears it is only a matter of time before this set is removed for good. With CP’s newer GEVO’s dominating most trains it is also nice catching a set of older AC4400s, not to mention one of the fading number of CEFX “bluebirds” still active on CP’s roster leading. I’m certainly missing the old standard cab EMD’s these days.

Gonna be interesting when those signals are changed to the LED ones. Would be easier to see from the platform at Lisgar.

Makes a smile on my face when you see how weathered the signals are and needing new paint. But at ground level both signals are sporting fresh silver paint bases.
Good looking photo Marcus. :-)
