Comments on: The early morning GO train out of London slows as it enters the town of Stratford, crossing Highway 7. In a few minutes it will make its station stop, where about thirty passengers will board.

I think you may be right, John. There are a lot more transit options in the region than I expected, though the bus between Stratford and Kitchener arrives late in the morning as it originates in Kitchener. Passengers could take the mid-day trains into Toronto, but cannot meet the morning trains using this service.

Perth County Connect has four bus routes:
Route 1: Kitchener - Waterloo - St. Jacob's - Elmira - Wallenstein - Dorking - Listowel
Route 2: Kitchener - Waterloo - New Hamburg - Shakespeare - Stratford - St. Marys
Route 3: London - St. Marys - Stratford
Rural Route: Stratford - Gads Hill - Brunner - Milverton - Newton - Millbank - Listowel - Atwood - Monkton - Mitchell

Their 5th route (Stratford - St. Marys - Kirkton - Mitchell - Sebringville) was cut in 2023 due to low ridership.

Very nice Jacob, and now a historical scene. Wonder what the 30 passengers that were waiting to board do now that their train is no more ? Do they have to drive to Kitchener ?

I note the use of the word "slows" entering Stratford. I would think the stretch between Stratford and London has to be amongst the lowest passenger speeds in a commuter (i.e. not long distance train) area in all of North America.
