Comments on: The flange squeal point. The south end of the Allandale waterfront station has a curve. Northbound trains are braking as they enter the curve in to the station, Southbound trains squeal as well. The shavings on the rail base have built up and are highlighted by the lack of rain.

13 months later the rail has been changed out. time will tell how long the new one lasts.

The rail is dated 2011.

Could you make out the date on the rail? It looks to be excessive wear caused by too much speed for the curve.
