Comments on: The fuel tanks are headed back to Edmonton for a re-fill. These 2 units are having to put their backs into getting 30 cars home (20 grain loads, 10 MT tanks), the engineer had them running at a good clip along here. They will have one more river to cross and climb up from while passing through Gibbons. Photo taken just east of Coronado.

I agree Terry, the sound of GMD-1's running with some weight was a delight to the ears.

Very nice. Those two units are working it with a little throttle for the photographer, that would have sounded nice.

Having a pair of these making a run was uncommon. I've never compiled any statistics, but, pretty safe to say that over 80% of the time (on the Coronado Sub.), they came in triples. Also, most of the pairs were like this, a NAR-CN combo. Thanks Michael. :-)
