Comments on: The fuel train was zipping right through town, no meet or stop on this day. A few interesting cars lead the 12+ tanks. 2 gondola loads of pipe for the oil field and a flat car of ties. Cab 79836 at the end, photo time 10:45.

Oh those old F units! Takes me back to the days of being a kid, and seeing them trundle through Atwood along the Kincardine Sub. here in Ontario. That, and I think too my adoration of these units is also linked to my very first train set, manufactured by Bachmann no less. Zebra striped in all its HO scale glory! Last time I saw any F unit of this type shown, was in Caledonia, Ontario late 80s on the Nsnticoke turn. Looking back, wish I had photographed more as a kid.

Aitch - Thanks for the suggestion, great memories watching that commercial. No leather seats or AC in my 1975 Cordoba. I guess I should spell check better "Chrysler Cordoba".

@terry.oshell: With seats of rich Corinthian leather, no doubt ! (If you weren’t at least a kid in the mid 70’s, checkout Ricardo Montalban in Wikipedia ;-) )
