Comments on: The glory days of the lowly CN GECO spur may be gone (after the GM van assembly plant closed in the 90s) but CN 546 still traverses it twice a week. On this night, CN L546 was stopped at IPEX while the conductor threw a switch in the middle of their duties there. CN 4125 and CN 4776 spot 1 car and pull another out. CN 4125 is the oldest active locomotive on CN (built 2/1955) and I am extremely thankful for every opportunity I have to shoot this unit.

Thanks! The GP9RMs were expected to last about 20 years after the rebuild in the 80s. That rebuild was nearly 40 years ago. Lol.

Great capture. I remember the GECO Spur well. I have been fortunate to catch the 4125 a few times recently.
