<title>Comments on: The last hurrah for the GP9&#8242;s in Thunder Bay. With a record amount of grain to move off the prairie the rail companies pulled out some of the old stops. What was typical of CP with a triple set of geeps to move tonnage around Current River, in more recent times (2010 and later) a pair of GP38-2&#8242;s or SD40-2&#8242;s was all that was used. The 8231 has roughly 7 months left before hitting the deadline, the 8234 has 5 months left. 3115 still rolls the rails somewhere on the CP system as of October 2016.</title>
