Comments on: The local to Tupperville heads through Port Lambton practically street running with 19 cars behind a new locomotive to the area. After dropping off 11 at SW CO-OP in Wallaceburg, he’ll continue onto Dresden to run around his train before heading back west to switch out Tupperville.

Update: The railway line is being sold to the Region of Chatham Kent and this has been in the works for years. However, the deal to have CANDO operate the line has fallen through.

C-K has an agreement with CP to sell the track and ties to CP for salvage, and is still looking for an operator, but on October 4 2013 if no operator is found, the railway will cease to function.

Decision will be made on August 1 2013, for the agenda and background (very detailed) see http://www.chatham-kent.ca/Council/CouncilMeetings/2013/Documents/August/Aug_1_4a.pdf
