Comments on: The main hump yard tower at the north end of CN’s MacMillan Yard is shows in June of 1976. Originally opened in May 1965 as “Toronto Yard” (its location was just north of Toronto in the Concord/Maple area of Vaughan), it was CN’s move to relocate their aging freight yards and facilities out of Toronto proper, to a new larger and more modern site located on former farmlands to the north.
