		<description>The era of three individual engines in one shell. Need 600 HP, one engine, twice that amount ie 1200 horsepower, the second engine; need more power use the third engine.
All three engines could be easily removed if major repair was required.  These various designs were imagined to reduce pollution by reducing the number of operational engines;
only adding another 600 horsepower if and when required.  
Around these parts of Ontario the idea did notarially catch on. Look at the two gensets CP had, both now gone.</description>
