Comments on: The morning hours were once the best time to be at Guelph Junction. Typically 3 eastbounds and any OSR action kept thing relatively busy. The berm was one of my favourite spots to catch the action. A lot has changed here from the removal of some tracks to the elimination of the access road to the Guelph Jct. Railway shop. This morning OSR was working Goodfellow and assembling their northbound train as CP “Sprint” frame train 142 clears the OCS with a GP40/GP38 combo. Good times!

Don't worry Matt. You are not missing much unless you like the same two GP38's rolling through day after day on T14, LoL. Soon OBRY will be gone too leaving only the parade of endless toasters. It's amazing how many industries have left town over the years here, I really miss watching them switch out ADM along with the he old GP9U's.

Brad: There should be an "award" for a dedicated local rail fan who has never shot at Guelph Jct. :o) Just amazing. We're all going to have to tie you to a pole or something....

Hahaha, Marcus is just saying that because he had to sit through hundreds and hundreds of my Streetsville shots at various slideshows. I'm sure I've forfeit any turf rights to Streetsville with my 15 years in the wild west.

Yes, the CN junction in Guelph between the Guelph sub. and Fergus sub. is also Guelph jct. Which actually makes more sense when considering CP's lime extended to Goderich. Maybe Goderich junction would have provided more clarity unless the extension to Goderich came in later years.

Nice one on your connection with Matt. Almost confused with 'The Junction'. My 'hood' 'The Junction or Guelph Junction. And there's two of them. Apparently in @Stephenhost's hood. ;)

Working in Milton and my parents had a trailer near Acton growing up so for me the junction has never been that far away. Almost a home away from home.

Coincidence or two CP ex-Guilford shots today? The other being Matt Watson's at Streetsville (isn't that your territory Marcus?). I always liked Guelph Jct. Love the area. There was a good pub on Guelph line in Cambellville. Even took a date there! But not train watching (she was a Geologist though, she got to talk about her 'wares' at Crawford Lake) ;). But you know @Arnold, i've never seen a train at Guelph Jct. Not even in the 80's. Didn't stick around long enough without a scanner. So nice to live vicariously through the photos up here!
