The new modern logo and livery (first unveiled in 1961) was still in its infancy at the time of this photo, evident by the passenger and head-end baggage and express cars all still sporting the older paint scheme (if one looks closely, there appears to be a maroon private car on the tail end). In the background are the nearby CP freight sheds, with 40′ boxcars spotted at the loading platforms.
