Comments on: The new Port Colborne Harbour Railroad had just started up when this image was taken. With former strawberry farmer Wayne Ettinger as Prez/Mgr, and New York & Lake Erie operator Robert Dingman as Chairman/Treasurer, the new railroad officially began June 25th 1997 after ceremonies the day before. This NYLE C425, one of Dingman’s, came over to Canada via CN’s 332 on the 22nd and was stenciled (at least part of it) the next day. The round decal to adorn the cab was not yet applied. Photo was taken as train sat on the new section of track which ran from the old CN Dunnville Sub line in town, up along the west side of the canal to connect with the yard just north of of the community. This new line was necessated by the removal of old bridge 20 which had connected the CN Humberstone, the east side trackage with the west.

I wonder if 6101 was able to road run? Consider Townline Spur and Pine St Spur was still existing at this time.
