Comments on: The rain has stopped but it is still a grey miserable day as the Super Continental gets serviced during its stop in downtown Edmonton. The garbage has been removed and the porters shoot the breeze in the background. Our family was traveling to BC from Toronto. Our E series sleeping car is on the left, but the name is not legible. My Mother took this shot and I’m always amazed with the the composition and the pop of color in the center.

The dome was not on our trip. We were told they were being refurbished. I was disappointed that the train didn't have a dome or observation car, but I wasn't the one paying for the tickets. Apparently CP's Canadian cost more. To add further insult to the train, for the last part of the journey a brown 40' boxcar was tacked on to the end for dirty laundry.

Cool, a view I am plenty familiar with. Not just because of taking the train from here, but, also from the long gray wall with the windows at the top. Spotted a lot of cars for the post office in there. :-)
Just wondering, did the big dome car get switched into the train while you were stopped? Those dome cars made the CP ones seem pretty average.
