Comments on: The second and final trip of the day on the Roberval & Saguenay Alma subdivision arrives at Saguenay Power Junction, which is the end of the line. The lead locomotive, RS 70, is nicknamed ”La Vincent”, as part of a school drawing contest. The 2 other sister locomotives, 71 and 72, which were purchased at the same time as 70, also were nicknamed after children who won the contest. All 3 locomotives were also later fitted with a wrap commemorating the 85th and 95th year of operation of the Vaudreuil Works (the Arvida complex) and of the railway, respectively.

@awmooney If you’re deciding on a trip to the Roberval & Saguenay, make sure to go catch a few trains at UGB Est junction. Hearing roots-blown 645s running wide open for 10 minutes straight as the train navigate the horseshoe curve is what gets me going every time!
