Comments on: The Stewart Southern, which runs from the CP Indian Head Sub near Regina, goes as far as 80 miles SE to Stoughton, SK. Just north of the main business area were these units off the main; assumption was it was either quiet around this time or perhaps some trackwork was taking priority, judging by the equipment behind the power. The units and all are on a stub track between the mainline and the highway by which I am standing. Power is SSR 1010, 4255 and 1009. I would have liked to hang around a couple of days but the weather forecast was for a major snowstorm even though it was only the beginning of October. Another time…………….. Current CTG lists 9 units on their roster, the balance were probably up at Fillmore, the road’s headquarters.

These three B23-7's have been stored out of service for several years. The active fleet now consists of leased GMTX GP38 models, which are usually kept at the road's shop in Fillmore.
