<title>Comments on: The STL&amp;H Lives!More than twenty years ago when Canadian Pacific was in a financial situation that was far more detrimental than it is today, the Saint Lawrence &amp; Hudson was created to help guide the company away from it&#8217;s woes. In the process, 32 of Canadian Pacific&#8217;s locomotives received fresh STL&amp;H paint. One of these locomotives was 1972 built SD40-2 # 5651, which on April 16th 1997 received a complete overhaul and repaint at Calgary&#8217;s Ogden Shops. Surviving more than twenty years on the road despite the dissolution of the STL&amp;H in 2001, 5651 stills earns it&#8217;s keep for CP today. This morning, I was surprised when I received a timely text from a good friend that 5651 was leading train # 142, CP&#8217;s Chicago-Montreal hotshot. After receiving a series of clearances and a pusher set complimentary of Kinnear Yard, 5651 is finally on the move (if ever so slowly) with fellow SD40-2 # 5926. As the aging duo of power grinds up the Hamilton Subdivision, they catch a nice patch of morning sunlight just north of Desjardins. It would be a long journey to Guelph Junction.</title>
