Comments on: The summer of 2002 would find myself and a fellow railfan traveling to eastern Canada. After waking up in a motel not far from the yard in Sherbrooke we headed over to see if anything had arrived over night. As luck would have it MMA’s daily through train was getting ready to head east after working the yard. The trio of worn looking former BN C30-7′s were certainly something to see and hear as they left town. At the time the station here was in sad shape but I believe it has since been restored. Sadly the MMA is long since history along with the CDAC that came before it. Today even the CMQ is history, which picked up the pieces after the MMA went out of business. Hopefully CP can give this line a bright future now that it is back in the original owners hands.

I rode the Orford Express here last summer. The station indeed looks much better today. It holds a number of artisanal shops and a farmer's market is held outside. That parking lot has also been spruced up into a park/square with a pavillion.

I agree with Larry on this. One of my favourites from the days gone by. Also, I would appreciate some of the luck you sure had that morning.
