Major construction (CN) access road has been built and there's a lot of construction fencing in various locations near here.... Some old angles have now opened up again.. These were the days when one could spend a relaxing day off or find some time after work to come out the the Royal Botanical Gardens just to loaf around, catch some sun, check out the rock gardens or have a picnic. But the RBG put an end to that. For someone realized that they were giving the local populace Something for Nothing!!! People were paying taxes for the park but were getting to use it for FREE!!! So, they closed it off, tried to charge for parking at the Railfans' Walkbridge (but we boycotted it) and now the once popular gathering spot in this photo is but a mound of dirt, construction material and fencing as once again the "Park" is replacing the land with another building of sorts; one we have to PAY to enjoy, of course. Try and recreate a photo from this angle today. The area is ruined. End of Rant.
