Comments on: The TH&B “Day Port” running CPR Power, ex TH&B #74 now in CP Action Red as 1684 has just made a 2 car drop at the International Nickel (INCO) Refinery. The train is crossing Durham St. at Reuter Road. In the background on the right is Port Colborne Drop Forge (sad note PC Drop Forge sister plant Welland Forge was permanently closed on Monday Oct. 26th, 2020 after 55 years of operation). The view is looking east and the locomotive is about to enter back onto the former Dunnville Subdivision tracks that were dead ended just east of here 2 years earlier. The crew would pick up their TH&B caboose before switching other industries in town.

Eric ..agree that it was surprising the unit came fresh out of the snub nose rebuild with footboards.. I have a photo posted on RP at nearly the same location of TH&B Loco #57 with the same Conductor/ Brakeman riding the footboards as well.
