<title>Comments on: The Thousand Islands Railway was a CN subsidiary that ran from Gananoque Junction on CN&#8217;s Kingston sub to Gananoque&#8217;s waterfront, a run of about 5 miles. The line was dismantled in 1997, but TIR 500 is preserved in town. It is a 40-ton diesel which was built using trucks and motors from Oshawa Railway Electric 42, built in 1914.</title>
