Comments on: The whole fleet of RSD-15 Alcos on the Cartier roster! Seen are: 96, 91, 93, 92, 95 and 94 tucked back in on Iron Ore Mine property. Known to me as “alligators” due to their long snouts.

Thanks for the info. It has puzzled me that I have not seen any photos of this power actually working out there on the road. Perhaps I just hadn't been looking hard enough.

I'm not sure about them running as Cartier painted units, but I've seen one shot of an M636-RSD15-GP9 lashup on an ore train in a book once. The RSD15 was still in B&LE colours with a high-nose! I had no clue what the thing was until it finally clicked one day.

****Indeed a surprise to see these locos. Come to think of it, I don't know whether I have ever seen any Cartier photos of the RSD-15s in operation, and wonder if they were already stored at the time I saw them. (Ret'd in 1987 according to CTG)
     Thanks for the comment.
