Comments on: These mostly former Ontario Northland FP7A units are now long gone from GO. Still, I find it hard to believe that this particular one was scrapped over 25 years ago. While it doesn’t exactly seem like yesterday when they were all over, but it just doesn’t seem THAT long ago. I’ve always liked them. GO 907 was the former ONR #1504 and was scrapped in 1995. This GMD APCU was one of 11 on the system at the time, and the power unit on the west end was GO 701. I recorded the time of this photo as 1032hrs on a Sunday. I guess even back then I wasn’t crazy enough to try shooting here during a weekday. Now……..it is all off limits. I wouldn’t even have an idea where one could park around there any more.

I was lucky enough to have run these APCU's before they were retired. Usually had some high geared CN 9300 or ex RI units at the other end. Where have all the good time gone?
And yes, there is no public access to the USRC anymore, its all key cards and security everywhere :-(
