Comments on: This caboose is on display, in Downtoen Guelph (see map) on April 22 and 23 2017 and the members of the Guelph Historical Railway Association will be on hand to give tours to all visitors. Railway history will be on display inside this museum on wheels, and with thanks to the Ontario Southland Railway and the Guelph Junction Railway, who moved the car for us downtown for the weekend. All are welcome. Doors Open Guelph is on Saturday the 22nd and from 9 AM to 5 PM we’ll be giving group tours throughout the day. Sunday will be much quieter but someone should be there during the day (and at night for security – but if you drop by in the evening knock for a tour!)
In this photo, OSR is dropping the Caboose off in the siding for a Doors Open Guelph event in 2010. We participate in this event every three or so years, and work to put our caboose on display as often as we can. If you are interested in getting involved with us, we could use your help! Join us by visiting www.ghra.ca and click “interested in learning more about us”. For those who prefer to support at arms length, and donate, we accept donations by mail (see website) or at Canada Helps. Thank you.

Dave - the switch for the siding was removed in the last couple of years. It's out of service, and the oldest rail on it was 1902.

Also for those who come at night - you'll be given a special treat. The caboose is lit up ONLY with lanterns, outside and inside with proper marker lights, etc..

Bring your tripod for night photos! It looks fantastic.

If that is the siding I think it is you can also see rail that dates back to the 19th century.
