Comments on: This eastbound piggyback train has only another 7.1 miles left on it’s trip to Golden. I can only make out the first 3 numbers of the lead unit (the last may be a 5). The 5639 (with elephant ears), 5766 and 5715 trail. The elephant ears were the reason for this photograph. I was visiting relatives in the area at the time and I had to cut short the chase, with this being my best of the few shots I made. The rain clouds actually worked in favour of the photo, otherwise it would have been somewhat backlit. I believe the time is in the first half of July, actual date is unknown.
