Comments on: This has got to be one of the odder replacement engines on the CN “lease” roster – This is the location of CN’s Metals Distribution facility in Hamilton at Parkdale Yard and is the home of CN 7304 since 2015. I photographed this engine, SSRX 911 a couple times at LDS in Sarnia, and this unit is now in service at this CN facility as 7304 has seemingly been sidelined. What’s the connection with LDS and CN’s Metals facility in Hamilton? Well, LDS was the company that rebuilt 7304 after a cracked block sidelined it in 2014.
