Comments on: This head on shot clearly shows the narrow gauge wheel set that was installed as part of the modifications on this ex-VIA Rail LRC locomotive. Destined for South Africa at one time, this locomotive never left the yard, or the Nickel City to my knowledge.

Nouvelle Esperance 2007 (ex-VIA 6903) never left the spot where I took the above photo on May 29, 2007. It was photographed again on June 21, 2018 and all that was left was the stripped main frame sitting on the modified trucks.
