Derek: Thanks for your note! In early 1973 I was working as a Package Designer with Consumers Glass at the Kipling ave plant in Toronto when they announced a new plant at Lavington. Closure of it must have caused a lot of disappointment..the 777 Kipling address is now a movie studio! KB

kb1946, It closed down in 2008 but the facility is still there. The only active customers are the two tolko mills, and gormon bros pole company. Pinnacle wood fibre pellet will be opening a facility near one of the tolko mills.

Headtrailgrep, thats for the Kelwona to vernon section of the line, from the start CN did not want to operate that section of line. CN is still running trains and upgrading the tracks from kamloops down to vernon and through to lavington.
