However, I had yet to have a good opportunity at shots of CN since they assumed Hamilton operations from SOR on December 14 and this is one of the more noteworthy angles the N&NW has to offer with respect to stamping the location as Hamilton. Here, the 07:00 yard job has finished its work down the hole for the day and is led back to Stuart Street by 7058 – a beltpack-equipped unit. For those wondering, all of power sets for CN in Hamilton so far have been beltpack-equipped. The three boxcars upfront are from Parkdale Warehousing, and a lone tank brought up the rear. Lastly, while you may find this hard to believe, SOR used to always have a few CN units on hand during the Steel Train days (ending around 2010/2011) so shots of CN down here were not all that hard to come by. Depending on where the sun is, it's a great spot for trains coming out of the hole, or a great spot if there's a late-running freight (or the Amtrak into Toronto) on the Grimsby too.
