Comments on: This is one of my favourite scenes from Dundas. The soft greens, the clean grounds and rather impressive old station gives a feeling of peace and tranquility. I’m surprised I cannot see anyone up on the Peak. So it must be an early weekday image. I do not have an exact date. CN 4577 and an unidentified GP40 widecab make their way west with a short freight. Perhaps a local to Brantford. And yes, I looked up the line west before I stepped out briefly to grab this image.:o)

Thanks, Officer Hall. Glad you like the memories. I wish I could post a shot of the Snake soaking up the sun on the hood of his car @1976, but there is no railroad ‘theme’ to it. Other than the fact he was thin enough in his youth he looked to have been run over…….

A nice image and sure brings back some memories. Many a game of floor hockey played in the waiting room area when the train order operator had time. Another story, a waiting passenger remarked that it was odd that the station was so far out of town and on the hillside. The CN employee remarked that it was built there to be close to the tracks. Then there are some other stories from Dundas Station that can’t be posted here.
