It’s hard to believe I shot this over 20 years ago, but this day after work I made it up to Guelph Jct. and managed to catch the rail geometry train stopping on the main so the crew could take a break in the office. Back then the 1117 was still with its original mother, GP9 8243 but within a few years it would find a new mate GP38 3057, which it would be mated to until its last days before being scrapped in 2003. Behind the train a westbound with a former Union Pacific SD40 trailing can be seen just about to head out onto the OCS.

Really nice, with lots of drama in the clouds. The westbound looks like an acid train. An all around great catch !

Thanks Steve! I did manage to get it once with a “live” C424 and a GP35. The only GP35 I ever shot on CP.
