Comments on: This pretty well forgotten station used to sit between Water St and State St (now Ainslie St S)just to the south of Concession St (old Hwy 97) in the Galt downtown area. This sub trackage came up from Lynden Jct and was crossed by the old LE&N electric just a hundred yards or so S of the station. But it is all history now. Everything. The land on which stood the old depot is now a row of modern townhouses, and evidence that there was once a busy railroad thru here is long gone. So much so, that on a recent visit to the area I was unable to uncover any indication as to the station location, and have group member Terry O’Shell to thank for the information for this caption. I have not the date of demolition for this structure but I believe it was early 1980s.

If the right of way was even close to present today, they'd be eyeing it for the KW ION LRT. Short sighted foolishness in selling it off and not preserving it as a trail.
