Comments on: This shot is rough, but I am offering it up for historical purposes. Coming up to 48 years ago, this was the scene looking west off Waterdown Rd bridge in Aldershot. In the distant background is Lemonville Rd bridge. The 403 on the right and the old Burlington Brick smokestack is the chimney you see back there. The building on the right; gone a dozen years or so now, we knew last as the Aldershot Cold Storage building. A row of boarding cars are on the old CN Waterdown freight station team track. (Note the outhouse!!) These days, this is where the two Aldershot leads are located, and on the right an exit off the 403 takes up most of that land. How times change !! In retrospect, I should have waited for a train. :o)

And so little traffic on the 403…… hard to imagine it was ever like that.
