9159 is an F7Au - in fact a freight unit. They were often used on certain passenger assignments (like the Skeena and the Hudson Bay), even into the VIA era, mostly on routes that had lighter rail and locomotive weight restrictions.

The first batch of F7 rebuilds (the 9150s) initially got the sharply-angled striping introduced with CN's 1961 image makeover. The later rebuilds (9160-9179) were among the first to get the '73 zebra stripes that were eventually applied to almost everything, not just cab units.

These F-units were common on freights in this area around this time.
