Comments on: This, the last circus train seen in these parts, ran in late 1988. The image shows CP 8208, 4245, 8212, 4222 and a long train going by the Skylon Tower on its way to the border. (Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey)
What is so interesting is how this area has changed to the point of being almost beyond recognition. On the left in front of the trees is Murray Hill and beyond the trees is the present day casino!! All signs of the double track line have been gone for many years, having being torn up in 2001.
I posted a 4×5 speed graphic shot of this train some years ago. This one is with a 35MM camera, and the same problem reared its ugly head in both shots. Severe backlighting. Couldn’t be helped.

What a great photo. You're standing on the walk bridge to Skylon Tower with the Minolta Tower in the background. The rail line is now a walkway, the rail bridge over Murray Street is now a pedestrian bridge and about two cars back is the side entrance to Fallsview Casino. That crummy little hotel on the right is still there. I should try to recreate this photo the next time I'm dragged to a show at the OLG theatre!
