Comments on: Thru most of the 1980s we witnessed many VIA units running with a plain nose rather than what I think was the more attractive “VIA”. This is an example; VIA 6793 running westward past Bayview with what appears to be a freshly painted snout. I neglected to mark the train number on this image but by the look of it was probably the mid-afternoon number 83.

That’s an interesting perspective on a fondly remembered location. It looks so different. I like it ! Definitely not repeatable today unless one is willing to risk a big fine…. or jail.
