Comments on: Toronto – London train 77 heads west through Bayview Junction towards its stop at Hamilton’s James Street station, where the three head end express boxcars will be setout. Shortly, it will reverse back out to Bayview, and continue its journey west.Scan and editing by Jacob Patterson.

Thank you for your comments, they are much appreciated. My favourite CNR colour preference was the green, black on the 6060’s and 5700’s complete with white walled driving wheel rims - whoops, my thoughts went back a little too far! Once I “recovered “ from the end of steam, my preference quickly embraced the green, black and yellow as shown above, something very classy about this paint scheme. Never really liked “the black, red, white stripes & noodle”, to me it lacked “class”, my 2 bits worth, John

Stephen, the “green, black and gold” was classy, much better than anything else CN or VIA has come up with in my humble opinion, but you has to keep the passenger diesels and cars clean. To answer your first question, by 1965/66.

Looks like only 2 'new' scheme cars. By what year was green and gold especially a nearly complete train hard to get?

Also John what was or is your preference :)
