<title>Comments on: Trenton, Ontario has a fair bit of railroad history to it, and other then the two CN and CP mainlines running through town, CN also had branchlines running both north and south of town. Sadly both branchlines are now history other around a mile of track used to serve one elevator near highway 401. The southern branchline extended to Picton and even had a couple swing bridges as well as road running in Trenton. A tourist railway did try to take over the skyline but unfortunately never got things going. Today the line is a rail trail. As for the CP main it crosses the Trent River on an impressive bridge in town, and this day train 241 has a pair of AC4400’s and container traffic stretch over the bridge as it heads westward.</title>
