Comments on: Trillium 110 sits lifeless along Track MM60. At this time, I have no clue why it’s sitting here. Trillium usually transfers at Merriton in late morning, early afternoon but this photo was taken at 6:57pm. I have a feeling maybe part of the track on the Thorold Spur got washout-ed a bit but I have no clue. Anyone with information care to share? This shot was almost impossible to get without the brush so please excuse it

Forgive my Quincy Magoo eyesight, which prompts me to ask: is that the water tower and Lock 4 we see off in the distance beyond/behind the train?

I was out and saw a very short 331 as well as the 97. The news report on CHCH ch 11 must have been grossly exaggerated. It sounded like the line would be out of commission at least a day when they reported "no timeline for reopening". The amount of rain that came down was not exaggerated, however. :o)

Gents - track was closed until 1900 last night, 97 backed to bayview, wyed, and returned to TMC. Passengers were put on a bus @ Grimsby. 98 did not run last night, but freight is running now so other than a slow order and work to shore up the right of way (major work being done) it will be back to normal.

Here's a picture of the scene as of 1300:

I'll venture out this morning to see if anything goes through. I have a feeling they'll let the AmTrak through because it has to bring people back to New York...not like it's on time anyways but you get what I mean.

Five inches of rain just down the line around mile 15. (This image is mile 10) CN suffered a washout and when I checked 1100 7/28 the railhead was under 6 inches of water at 7th St. Louth. Wondering if anything will reroute CP while repairs are done.

Thanks! There might have been some up by CN Glenridge because I saw the repair crew working up underneath the old Townline Spur bridge.
