Comments on: Trillium 3582 sits at the Merritton yard for the weekend, due to no weekend service. 3582 (still bearing its STER logo underneath the numbers) was the only engine on the Trillium active roster to escape my lens, and I was quite happy to finally catch it.

It’s just barely holding on. It isn’t used as much because the engineers don’t like it, but it must have been a last minute resort.

I’m surprised this thing is still active. Every time I had seen it recently, it was sitting down at Welland on the old Atlas Steel property with the other relics.

The other half of Trillium snagged both engines. 1842 was in service in early 2015, and its brother 1859 took over.

Once this company ceased operations I always wondered what happen to this unit. OSR does most of the services it used to do for St. Thomas I believe
