Comments on: Trillium Rwy began life in Niagara as the Port Colborne Harbour Railway, and is but 3 months into its’ existence when this photo was taken. The ALCO C-425 was the “start-up” power, having come from the New York & Lake Erie Rwy and appropriate decals for the PCHR slapped on the flanks. The locomotive was returned to the NYLE in 2001 and currently the unit, now in Delaware-Lackawanna paint, has operated out of the D-L in Scranton, PA since its’ arrival there in 2007. The image here is of the train southward into “The Port” having just worked the WH yard, which was the principal yard for PCHR at the time, about 3.5 track-miles back.

The PCHR-turn Trillium is holding its' own, operating from Port Colborne into St. Catharines over mostly former CN industrial trackage. It also operates some of the former St.Thomas & Eastern.
