The track unit at the left side of the frame is a Bert Pyke Ltd. Model K ballast regulator/snow fighter (wearing summer ballast attachments). It was manufactured at the Pyke plant in Oshawa, ON and is a mid-to-late 1970's unit. The flashes of orange paint peeking through the yellow overcoat would suggest it is an ex-CN unit.
Anyone have a pic of the serial number badge plate on the console inside the cab?
